Hi !
If you use the GUI (graphical) version of seti, don't set the socks
server but ONLY the proxy to localhost:5001
If you want to crunch quicker, download the Cmd-line version, that is
faster, and add the parameter -proxy localhost:5001 to your cmd line
option inside SetiGate
Good luck !

I am wanting to use setigate on a single pc with a dial up connection.
I have set up as far as I can, using the readme file. I have cached WU's and
am ready for processing. Problem is I cannot get the WU into seti.
"Appendix A" of setup instructions states that seti's socks proxy address
should be set to 'localhost' and the port set to the same as setigates local
port, '5001'.
No matter what I do I get a error message "cannot connect to internet; error
??????? cannot find socks server".
I know this is going to be one of those "Doh" moments but can anyone help
me?
