So ... you're displeased because a bunch of scientists and computer
technicians didn't put a lot of time into designing your certificate
and instead used it to, I dunno, do research or maintain computers?
Lets put it into perspective, without the crunchers,
the " bunch of scientists and computer technicians" as you say
would be no where
as to the certificate, it is the time or effort spent by whoever
was in charge of designing it in relation to the years of effort
and time spent by the crunchers, would it be so hard to just
post in this newsgroup a little design request and select and
post the winner on the server?
I personally crunch for science and not for the rankings nor for
groups or country's, but is it so bad to want a little pad on the
back?
Gotta say I agree with you there. I so look forward to each new milestone.
They cost me a shit-load in electricity and I think the least they could do
at Berkley is design a decent certificate that I could maybe put on the wall
for all the $$$$ I've spent cruching WUs. I do it for the science too but
it's nice to have something to show for it. Something to maybe pique the
interest of other PC owners who visit my house and get them cruching too. I
certainly wouldn't bother with the current certificates.
