It also depends on other factors such as but not limited to, angle of
antenna, things it finds in the unit itself, etc.
Some units quit before they are thru processing due to problems in the
workunit itself, ie. too much intereference, too many spikes,
gaussians, etc.

Were you doing something on the computer during the first one? That would
reduce SETI's use of your CPU, thus slowing the processing of the work unit.
