Hi,
I'm more of a lurker on the SETI sites, as I really have nothing to
worthwhile to contribute, but today I came across a compelling, if not
somewhat depressing article on the web. I've never heard of such and
idea before, and I find it compelling, yet depressing. I would love to
see some thoughts, some feedback from other posters.
What is described here fits into what is called ecological succession.
William Catton describes the concept the process in his book
"Overshoot".
