You can also minimize SETI Driver and then right click the tray icon and
select Save Configuration.

As for the "Auto Transmit", there is a 6 hour loop (per Berkeley's request)
if an auto-transmit fails. To see what's really happening, select the
Display Transmit option and wait for a transmit. SETI Driver will create a
window for the transmit session and you can actually see the client
messages.

1) whenever SetiDriver starts up from "Start" on boot-up of Win2k or
WinXP
Pro, it does not hide in the systray of its own accord ... it needs me to
"minimize" it. Why is that? The problem is that other people restarting
the
computer may just kill SetiDriver ... rather than minimize it. Why does
it
need manual minimization? ;-)

If you have a shortcut to it in your Startup folder, just right-click
the shortcut and select Properties. Then in the run line, select
Minimized.

It will then always start in the system tray.

2) sometimes SetiDriver does not Auto Transmit ... despite that option
being
checked. It will sit with a red icon in systray ... forever ... until I
restore/expand the program and force a transmit. Why is this?

Try deleting the "Seti Driver.cfg" file, open Seti Driver and click the
Save Config button.
