Thanks but as mentioned I've got the P4 3 GHz doing units in about 2.5
hours
and the Celeron is my second machine. I've given up upgrading it.
I just got a 2.4 Celeron for my wife and I am buying a 2.4 or more
regular chip and putting it in. Her computer is MUCH slower when she
does some things even when compared to her old 1ghz machine. It has a
512k cache.
Yes I am running the CLI and SetiDriver but I am only getting about
7.5 hours per workunit!
that's not bad compared to me.
on my 2.4 ghz celery laptop running latest command line and latest seti
driver
i am at about 10 hours per wu.as opposed to my amd 2700+ desktop running
same software versions at 2 hrs 45 mins.laptop has 512 333 and amd has 1024
333
Actually the "latest" verison of the CLI, ver 3.08, is slower than the
previous one, 3.03. BUT if you are using a proxy to connect don't be
without the 3.08 version. 3.03 is hackable when done thru a proxy.
I am still using 3.03.
