I have not been able to find the answer to this question on the
SETI@Home FAQ so I thought I'd ask it hear. I need to configure my
SETI@Home client to NOT download any further Work Units after it has
completed one.
I am using SETI@Home 3.08 on a Windows 2000 system. I am not using
the CLI client, but instead the GUI based client. I ran a test with
the "stop_after"send.txt" meathod used for UNIX/Linux systems, but
that didn't seem to work. I can set my Preferences to "Ask me before
connecting to the internet" but I think that once I connect, it will
start to download another set ( I could interrupt it though)
Does anyone have any suggestions to how I can cleanly stop SETI@Home
from downloading any more Work Units to my system. I am not using any
of the queueing add-ons.
Thank you.
Jim
I used stop_after_send.txt when I switched from the GUI to the CLI and, as
far as I can remember, it worked. I assume the middle double-quote in
"stop_after"send.txt" was a typo and you really named the file
stop_after_send.txt . Also, make sure Windows isn't hiding an extension
from you (eg. you see stop_after_send.txt but the real file name is
stop_after_send.txt.txt).
