Subject: Re: Stopping further WU from being downloaded to GUI based S@H on Win 2K system

Vacation mainly, but there are other reasons. It's my understanding
that if a WU isn't returned in a certain time frame, it's
redistributed. It would be nice just to have that option. As it
turns out, entering in the "stop_after_send.txt" correctly does the
trick.

It's not a major thing, just something I just wanted to know about.

Cheers!

Jim,

Just curious, but why would you want to prevent your Seti Client from
downloading fresh WU's once its uploaded any results?

I have not been able to find the answer to this question on the
SETI@Home FAQ so I thought I'd ask it hear. I need to configure my
SETI@Home client to NOT download any further Work Units after it has
completed one.

I am using SETI@Home 3.08 on a Windows 2000 system. I am not using
the CLI client, but instead the GUI based client. I ran a test with
the "stop_after"send.txt" meathod used for UNIX/Linux systems, but
that didn't seem to work. I can set my Preferences to "Ask me before
connecting to the internet" but I think that once I connect, it will
start to download another set ( I could interrupt it though)

Does anyone have any suggestions to how I can cleanly stop SETI@Home
from downloading any more Work Units to my system. I am not using any
of the queueing add-ons.

Thank you.

Jim
