I'll just add from my own view:
If you want to learn about computers and networking, then yes and have fun!
If these machines are to support other uses aswel, then yes.
If they are to be dedicated only to s@h, then your electricity costs
could well better benefit s@h directly as a donation. The performance of
those 50 machines could be bettered by just two or three of the latest CPUs.
In summary, give it a try if you just want the fun!
