Perfectly said. I yeach college physics and the general attitude over the
past 8 years has been:
[1] just give me a job.
[2] i want one where i don't have to work
[3] learn? study?? y bother when all u need is connections
[4] besides that i will learn what i need ON the job.
Grade inflation is a reality. There are no standards anymore. The level of
intellectual curiosity is (keep in mind I can say this with my long
experience) _nihil_.
