Do you think we can wait some time and then install BOINC?
Do you think there will be a version tracking and updating option n
BOINC?
We do have almost a 120 backup servers that do just nothing until the
primary server fails and than he is switching into action. So I think
we could do some nice things with that sun sparc power :-) The only
problem is the time we should need fore tracking versions.........

I have a question, we have a large serverfarm and we would like to
install seti on the backup servers buth.... we do not have the time to
maintain the seti application. So we could write scripts that check if
the clienst are running and if not that they are started buth when
there will be a new version we also do not have the thime to upgrade
all the clients.... Is there a way,.... a script...... that could do
this... If there is a new version that is auto-update the version and
resume operation in the new client.......?
Thanks already.

There are add-ons such as SetiSpy and otherst hat will monitor the SETI
application and restart it if it becomes idle.(stops running) As far as
updateing it goes I don't believe there will be anymore SETI@HOME updates
given that BOINC is just about ready to roll out and replace the SETI
Client, but I haven't heard any hard released ates so it could be weeks away
or months away. I say install SETI on your farm and crunch all you can
before BOINC is released and do your part for the science and maybe even
find the little green men.
