congratulations on the new machine!
if you get tired of it..remember me...lol
I reckon around the one and a half hours mark too, maybe a little more. (Two
units in just over three hours, say, three hours twenty minutes).

Please, let us know Gonzo. Maybe we could run a lottery? :-)
>>just ordered a new workstation, slightly faster cpus than the
previous ones. i wonder if you guys could tell me how long itll take
to do a w/u with a dual cpu 2.6ghz intel xeon with 2 gig of ram
running the cli version of seti on a unix based o/s? its not due
till next week but i want to wet myself now in expectation.

My son has a laptop that has a 1 meg L2 cache and he runs 2 units in
about 10 minutes more than 1 unit alone! He has a 1.6ghz Intel Dell
Latitude with Centrino Technology and is doing 2 units in the 2hr
07minute range under Windows XP Pro.
James has a 512 or 1 meg L3 cache on each of 2 processors! He should
be able to run 2 processes with the CLI version per processor if he
has the 1 meg cache!
I would guess the 90 minute range for all 2/4 units to finish.
