on all machines....
i think you hit on it...
the hd might be more "congested" on the 1200
will do a defrag and an optimization later today
basically set up the same way other than the OS
used.

The ram is immaterial, Seti will crunch with 64 meg of ram! The
difference could be hard drive speed, are you using the screen saver
version or the CLI? If the screen saver version then the video card
could be better in the 1000. The hard drive could be full on the 1200,
the machine could be doing other things like running SetiQueue, etc.?
In general XP is a better OS for doing Seti than ME.
Is the XP setup to crunch even when other users are logged in?
