I, too, have recently had problems with SETI. I've been running SETI and
SETIQueue on a Gateway using XP for over a year, and recently it started
crashing and also hanging the machine. I reinstalled SETIQueue, no luck.
I quit using SQ and made SETI direct (with a constant connection to the
'net), and not only would SETI hang during data transfer, I couldn't get
out on the 'net via email, browser, etc. Reboot fixed connection problem
but not SETI problem - it would hang again next data transfer. I tried
reinstalling SETI (3.0.8) but that didn't help. Any ideas?

Have you cleaned your system lately? Check filters, fans, and vents to
verify nothing ls clogged and fans are spinning. Your problems could
be caused by overheating.
