The bible of the Jews, Christians and Muslims clearly states that God
made the earth and the heavens and then placed His image and likeness
into the Garden of Eden -- mankind.  It says nothing about supposed
other planets and unearthly peoples, and clearly states that the earth
is God's focus in all matters of creation, sin and redemption.

The Bible does not say anything about West Los Angeles, so I guess
commandments like "thou shalt not kill" and "thou shalt not commit
adultery" don't apply there?

John 10:16 of the Christian Bible refers to "other sheep" which are
"not of this fold".  How sure can you be that this does NOT refer
to other planets and inhabitants of them?  Remember, YOU are not God.

What if people existed on other planets?  What of their own creation
and status with God?  Are they still unfallen and living immortal
lives in an Eden?

John 10:16 says that these "other sheep" shall hear his voice.
It doesn't say when.  And the part about bringing them into "one fold"
suggests that maybe SETI is a sacred mission.  Well, that's taking
it a bit far.  But I still don't think it rules out aliens on
other planets.

The answer is that all of this would be a paradox, 

To you maybe.

and God doesn't
operate from within a paradox.  

Where does God say that?  I'm not going to take YOUR word, only God's
word, that He doesn't operate in a paradox.

Therefore, there can be no other
people of God in the universe, and SETI is a blasphemous activity
intended to divert God's people from the truth and therefore their own
redemption and self-understanding.

Looking for something that may or may not exist doesn't make it
a blasphemous activity.

As far as activities intended to divert God's people from the truth,
let me suggest that there are far worse enemies:  politics at
the local, national, and international levels, and organized religion.
