The splitter was down for a few days. It has since been fixed, you
should be receiving work again now, I think.
BTW, usually one of the first places server outages are reported is
#boinc on irc.freenode.net. We usually then find out pretty quickly why
the server is out and sometimes even when it'll be back up. You may be
able to click this to get there: irc://irc.freenode.net/boinc
There's a lot of information up about getting there at
http://logs.boinc-irc.com, including a Java client. And don't worry,
TheBorg won't assimilate you unless you're really bad. :-)
