Sarah,

I'm on Telewest as well, and having the same problem trying to connect
to
SETI to send / retrieve work units.

It's a problem SETI@home know about, and in time it will resolve itself.

So, for now, no crunching can take place if we cannot get work units...!

So do you mean that it's Telewest that's the problem? Have you always had
this problem with them or is it more recently with SETI@Home's network
problems?

Sarah Anne.

Frustrating but true.

H.

Sarah,

Currently it's a SETI@home problem - as far as I know, it's nothing to do
with Telewest. ! (Sorry for not being clearer in my last msg - on 2nd
reading it implies it might be a Telewest problem...which I don't think is
correct).

H.

Have you tried using a public queue?
They are free and open to the public and all you do is connect to them
and then they connect to Berkeley and send your info on. You still get
credit for the units.
http://www.myurl.net/seti/setiq.htm is one page out of many that say
they are still up.
