Berkeley didn't send out "original email" with S@h; participants had
to request it. Those who didn't (or did and didn't save it offline)
have frequently ended up unable to edit their accounts.

Here is the full sentence: "Of course if you still

Odd, that looks exactly like what I quoted above.

You can see that I said the same thing that you did just differently.

No, you said an "original email" was sent--S@h did not send any email
unless the participant went to their account information and _requested_
that it be sent.

When you signed up for Seti you provided an email account, to that
account was emailed your user account id.

I never received any such email, nor did I get one containing my
password (which is what is necessary to edit the email address) other
than the ones I explicitly requested.

Those that saved that account number can now sign up for Boinc and
there stats will be displayed on the user account page, those that did
not save it will not have that stat on there. Oh and if you are part
of a group then that is carried over as well but obviously if you have
to log in again as a new user that info is not available and you will
have to join the group again.

I wonder if they're going to update the stats that they exported from
the S@h Classic database once S@h is shut down...

The stats is a minor thing because EVERYONE has zero stats for Boinc!

Sounds appropriate. Completely different approach, multiple choices of
what to crunch, and no real way to convert the old stats to new.
