personaly the screensaver doesn't mean much to me, but no doubt others will
use it as such
now remember, the entire point of a screen saver is to 'save' the screen yes
?
so why how they not changed it at all, it's still the same as seti@home
classic, only i think they used opengl to 3d it up a bit, it's still basicly
the same, on the issue of 'saving' the screen it's little better than the
old one
couldn't they make it bounce around a bit and make it small (maybe it does
?? i dunno i didn't leave it on that long)
if it is indeed like the old SAH screensaver, it will clear every 2-3
minutes or so and redraw the graph at a different angle... combined with
the fact that newer monitors are much more resilient (screen savers
harken from the era of amber/green monitors, which would burn in in a
matter of hours - now they are more of graphical playtoys), you have
little risk of suffering burn in. also, if you're really concerned
about saving your monitor... why don't you turn it off? no power = best
screen saver, and energy saver too!
