This is the correct page for Boinc:
http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/
To set up Boinc you need your user ID that they mailed you and the url
of the project. This is the url  http://setiathome.berkeley.edu
The reason you are not getting work is you are trying to connect to
the wrong url.
Detatch from the one you are attatched to and attatch to the url
above.

and i always get the same message in BOINC.  i'm about to give up and go back to classic S@H.

i visit http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi in my web browser and i get a response (it says incomplete request received, but i'm not connecting to it with the BOINC client, so i'm assuming this is normal)
