Meanwhile, check out the connection & cache options on Boinc. The rush of existing and new people all starting Boinc at the same time can be expected to overload the s@h servers for some time. I would expect things to settle down over the next few days.

I have two distributed computing tasks running on this machine so that if one project pauses, the CPU is still kept busy with the other.
