As the voice of our combined frustration, I think you're doing fine.

They told me to wait for my Account ID to be emailed to me; but neglected to
mention that it would take 3 days.  If the sign-up process was off-line,
they should have removed the sign-up webpage.  Instead, they allowed a lot
of person-hours to be wasted on a function that was out of commission.

OK; I got my ID.  But it's sure anti-climatic trying to play with my BOINC
when "there's no work available."  I don't know; it's supposed to do
something, right?

You're right.  They shouldn't have released BIONIC if they weren't ready to
fly.  We are right to be surprised and disappointed that they weren't better
prepared, most especially given their past experience running SETI Classic.

Just as you said.  I hope you don't mind me repeating it.
