Clive's point, that intelligent and technologically advanced beings may
be highly aggressive, is quite reasonable based on what little we know.
Attempting to trivialize his comments by referring to the X-Files and
Independence Day will not change this. Colin James is correct that SETI does
not actively transmit radio waves or signal to the universe. Thus, this may
not be an appropriate forum to discuss aliens and their possible attributes.
