  I've got it running as a background task by starting it as a timed job
(at) because the task wouldn't stop with Ctrl-Z. I can check the progress
of work units using a similar method to the normal SETI client but I'm
wondering if it's possible to force updates like you can with a GUI
version. If I try to run the executable again it tells me it's already
running and exits.

  Not a big deal, I'd just like to know if it's possible? :)
