From the DOS prompt or Command prompt - type sfc /scannow    You'll need your installation disk because it needs to copy some files from it.  You can also type sfc /help and get information.

That was a good idea. I had forgoten about System File Checker. It
just found some old ATI drivers (I think) that it replaced, nothing
else. Seti still freaks on me.

How do you run sfc? XP Pro (Pls excuse ignorance).
