I've only recently noticed this issue since removing my old SETI Classic
installs, and running the BOINC system.

While SETI CLI version is running the cooling fans on my G5 don't cut in
when I'm using any software. If I turn it off, or SETI stops for some
reason, the fans almost immediately start operating, and the readings on
the temperature sensors drop as well. They then cut in and out as
expected. As soon as I run SETI again, they never cut in again.

Has anybody else seen this behaviour.

System: G5 1.8GHz DP, 1.5GB RAM, Mac OSX 10.3.4.
