Just looking for forums which are specific to the SETI-BOINC activity.

SETI Classic newsgroups are mainly "alt.sci.seti" and "sci.astro.seti".

Here.

All manner of searches are discussed, including optical, thought, transcendental, ... (;-))

I am running SETI Classic until I reach certain WU numbers. This leaves
room for the SETI-BOINC system to settle, and keeps me away from the
"initial registration rush" as long term Classic crunchers switch.

Fair enough. (Is it the Science or the Stats?)

The BOINC posts here can keep us aware of issues like -

server down, WU d/l not keeping up, WU time and cashing, etc

I also go over to their URL <http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/>, and
associated pages (like /forum_thread.php/) to "keep up".

These are interesting times while the new ways are being explored. Wouldn't surprise me if the poor Berkeley folk are physically encamped around their servers for the time being!...

Welcome to the groups.

Have fun,
Martin
