If the BOINC platform becomes ubiquitous, it's POSSIBLE somone will

and BOINC discussion, in general.
That would be a good idea IMNSHO, I would subscribe, if only to see what
is available, I'm for SETI all the way,
I like the idea a lot, too, since I'm running 50/50 between SETI & CPDN,
and CPDN is also BOINC'ing soon. And, we can see how often there's a post
here asking "what else runs under BOINC?" I've been itching a bit, to start
a n/g ever since M & D, along w/FW's help, started the spin-off from the
main group. Funny though, it's no longer on my newserver, when I checked
recently.
Right now I've got a lot of RL going on, but maybe, 4 - 6 mos down the road,
when BOINC matures, and other proj's hop on, we can do some research to see
if there's justification. The alt.config powers-that-be can be some tough
cookies. I'd prefer to go through them, since they can really assist
propagation, or get P***** and send out rmgroup msgs, if ignored, and they
DO! They are extremely demanding concerning "hard numerical" justification,
but are good to have as allies.
I wouldn't want to siphon off traffic from alt.sci.seti, either.
