It appears they are having a major problem with the server again. Reading
the message board before uninstalling/re-installing your program would have
saved you a lot of time. The problem has been going on for over a day now.
I doubt they have shut down classic. They will certainly take a lot of heat
if they have.

When I try to transmit and receive, SETI says:
Sending result - connecting to server.
recv fd=48 n=-1, errno=2
Can't connect to server; will retry in an hour.
OK. I erased everything in my SETI folder -- two completed WUs, all the
waiting cached WUs, and Classic Command line.
Put a new copy of Classic Command Line in the folder.
Starting fresh, I tried to get some new work. SETI said:
Welcome to SETI@home.
We use your email address to identify you.
Please type:
1 to set up a new account (first-time users);
2 to log into an existing account (returning users).
Your choice (1 or 2): 2
I chose "2," and gave them my email address.
No account with that email address
Well, there was an account with that email address two days ago. Looks
like
they lost me. However, my individual stats are still available. My
Account
Information is still available. Just can't sign in / can't exchange WUs.
Two weeks ago, I set up a BOINC account. Boinc said:
Once SETI@home/BOINC is running smoothly and
versions are available for most platforms, we will
turn off the data server for SETI@home Classic.
At this point you will need to switch to SETI@home/BOINC.
Is that the problem? No more Classic?
