I'm about to close BOINC down and install 3.2 over the top of the
previous version, I hope that's the way to do it and it works
smoothly. Wish me luck. <g>.

Good Luck, & don't forget to let us know how it goes.

According to Rom Walton it is not necessary to shut down the client,
the upgrade will do it for you. Rom is a programmer on the Boinc
project.

I shut it down before upgrading anyway, it just seemed logical.

I did too and it went fine for my 7 machines.
Isn't farming fun!!!

It sure is. I only have three machines at the moment on my BOINC account, my
girlfriend has claimed the other two ports on my 5-port 10/100 ethernet
switch. I think I'm going to have to check the back room, I'm sure I still
have a 12 or 24 port 10/base-T hub there somewhere that I (think I) could
link into the switch.
