I'm not nor need to be. I just make use of publicly available knowledge.
I am happy for others here to correct me if I'm wrong on whatever point.
Then, please, tell me exactly, what "is the publically available
knowledge". What are the numbers, 1, 200, 8000. I'm not aware of
this public knowledge, but you say you know.
How many emails does the project get from their openly available email
accounts? We need a number, which you say you know, to determine if
they could reproduct a Dean style email response system.
Yes, and usually whatever it is to be accomplished must be judged to be
worthwhile and practical to gain favour.
You said you're not with the project, so how do you know what is
worthwihile for the project? I'm confused. I would think, keeping
their volunteers happy and working for them (ask a professional
volunteer organizer some time) would be of the upmost practical gain.
I don't know whats best for the project. But I would make the guess,
that keep the project alive (having people to crunch for you) would be
best for the project.
Is ignoring their volunteers best for the project?
I haven't seen 1 official member of the project here. I have not seen
1 announcement from the project here. My origional post asked - How
Do I Contact S@H - not 1 official member replied.
You haven't looked. Try Google Groups.
How would you now where I've looked, you don't even know where here
is.
Google groups isn't here. Here is alt.sci.seti, sci.astro.seti,
network news (NNTP). Google groups is completely different. I said
here, and on the msg boards, not somewhere else, like Google Groups,
Yahoo groups, or Ed's & Sqeaky's Blog.
And you can contact various s@h staff if you have good reason to do so.
I can use their publically posted email address I guess. If I have a
good enough reason in your opinion? That would be the email address
posted is bold letters, at the top & bottom of the website? Or would
you agree with me that there isn't an official, public - contact the
project email address.
Yes, and that should be very clearly understood. For what s@h are trying
to do, I am very happy to help them in their careers and their fight for
this part of science. They have already made remarkable progress
considering the 'politics' and technical problems against them.
Thats great. There are others however, who just want some recognition
and to be treated decently (my position).
