I must have missed some of those posts. You have attatcked all the
volunteers on the Seti Staff for not having a way for you to contact
them to send a letter of displeasure. You have expressed that several
times in this newsgroup, they do not need to expose themselves to a
direct letter

I haven't attacked anyone, any group. I've asked where I may contact
the group. 2, I've suggested that not transfering data for troublsome
accounts isn't wise or fair, and 3, I've suggested its poor PR, bad
for the project, to not have a method of contacting the project. I've
suggested using a Dean campaign type system of volunteers to read
emails, and I've stated that not all project participants are
volunteers, some get grants and make their careers.

PERIOD

I did not use derogatory expression towards anyone here, or the Seti
group like "want some cheese for that wine".

The strongest I've said is "OR I QUIT". That isn't negative,
attacking, to anyone.

Just send it to Dr. Anderson at the Berkeley Campus, Seti Department.

Excellent!

Your problem is that there is NO WAY for you to prove who you are! You
have lost or never got the only way for Berkeley to prove that you
are you and not someone saying they are you. If you still had the
original email address than you would be okay without the
password/user id, whatever you choose to call it. But you do not have
either, you are up a creek with no paddle.

Oh, I understand that entirely. If by my own "fault" or never been
given a password I may be out of luck. It would just be nice to hear
that from the project - rather than people on this newgroup. That was
kinda my whole point. But there is no way it would seem of contacting
them.

I understand there is cheating, and that degrades the project - and
possibly the science. I had thought that perhaps, looking at my
account, my old email address is the same except for isp as my new
one, I've only done some 3000 work units. I would think it would be
clear I'm not cheating. If I'm in the 98%-tile for producing
volunteers it may be worth it for them to fix the account.
