I think I understand the psychology of our problem with the way the software
and servers appear to be working or, should I say, not working as expected.
We, as individuals feel like we are finally contributing to something much
grander than we are likely able to accomplish within our own individual
lives. We might be the one who comes with the "proof" then suddenly we can't
post that result. 'What if it is such a small thing that no one else spots
it for a hundred years?' Or, we climbed that wall and hit a milestone number
... 100 WU's, 1,000 WU's, 10 years ... etc. Suddenly, there's a new way of
counting and our milestone isn't as significant.
For one, I am trying to be a grownup about this and telling myself, 'it's
not about me, it's about the science.' I don't always succeed but I'll keep
trying to keep all of this in perspective. I ain't happy about it, but I'm
working on it ....
YMMV
