Hi Ed. Long time no read.

Why don't you leave it running 24/7?
Sure, there's always crunching to do.
I usually leave it running, except for thunderstorms, or forecasts thereof.
Dirty AC around here, and a weather front has been sitting on top of
Pennsylvania for a couple of months. Me on top of a hill. I don't trust
the UPS to absorb all the voltage spikes.
Otherwise, the operating system occasionally crashes; just it's way of
telling me to reboot. Sometimes I give it a reboot after a successful
workout, anyway, to comb out the Resources, etc. I try to catch it before
it catches me.
Win98 - I still have to remember to "save" periodically, so I don't loose
too much work. It's still not perfect, even with all the ram, just a lot
better.
