In the Windows world you would have some obscure DLL 'error' and all the
rest is 'proprietary'. Phone home to Microsoft and hope they are
merciful...

I'm doing a little reading about Mandrake-Linux. There seems to be plenty
of support options. Contrast to Microsoft, which only added "feedback"
links on their website last year.
