A trip to New Zealand is considered an exotic destination from the US.
Maybe I can find another company that needs to send a Field Engineer
down there -- it's better if you can get someone else to pay for the
plane ticket.

You're welcome. I've had a guy from NYC who I met through a newsgroup come
and stay with me for several days. He turned out to be a really nice guy. He
was on a budget holiday for a month. I picked him up from the airport, he
spent a couple of days here, then I took him to his connecting flight to the
South Island, the he stayed here a couple of days on his way back, I dropped
him back off at the airport again.

Friends are always welcome.
