Kraus' books were the text books for a couple of engineering courses
that I took in undergraduate school. The books weren't easy reading,
but they were the
*major* references for people who wanted to learn
about waveguide and antenna design.
Kraus taught me a lot through his textbooks, and provided some nasty
exam questions to my professors, so that they could torture us all at
final exam time.
I'll never forget him. He was legendary among engineers.
