Aha, a Linux man. I keep meaning to get around to having a play with
Linux, haven't (seriously) yet.

 
It's good computing fun ;o) If you've never tried Linux, I'd recommend SuSE.
It has nice GUI tools for setup and config. Download iso here;

There are much easier linux distros to dip your toes into than Gentoo!
Sometimes there is just too much choice (:-))

It does take some time to setup, and play with, untill it runs the way you
want it to.
 

I'll be giving Gentoo a try myself sometime on a spare machine once I
get some spare time...

If you plan to try out a stage1 install, it's going to taske you some
time ;o)  My Pentium4 1,6ghz sweated for some 25 hours, compiling Gentoo.
