I've been in this game for 4 3/4 years, my little low budget seti farm has
crunched 3411 units in that time, I started with one slow machine, now

have

5 not quite so slow.

I want a seti farm!

Anyway, getting to the point; I've migrated one machine
onto boinc. No problems so far, I waited till the recent outage had got
reasonably sorted out, and it's now happily crunching with what looks like

a

full cache.

Good for you.

However, the one WU it has so far done, wasn't automatically returned,

even

6 hours later, after the cache had filled up some more.

As soon as a WU is completed, it is uploaded. Once uploaded, it remains in
your work list as "ready to report." On the next update with the server, it
will send the results of the WU and will not show up on your work screen
anymore. BOINC will send the results automatically before the report
dedline. No need for manual updates.

Doing an update
resolved that, the WU uploaded, but the credit for it appears to have been
added onto my seti classic user stats, not onto my boinc account.
Is this normal behaviour that will stop once everyone is on boinc?

When you updated manually, the result was sent for your WU, and BOINC
syncronized your credit between the server and the client. Credit was issued
for your just returned WU after you updated, so the credit scores may be out
of sync. BOINC will update your credit as seen on the client the next time
it connects to seti.
