It takes me 3 hours 40 minutes on a P4 2.8 Ghz 533 FSB with DDR 333 Mhz
ram. Is that what is expected from this setup? I tried searching the
groups but didn't get any similar setups.

Before I switched my Dell Inspiron 5100 over to CPDN, I had it crunching
SETI Classic units - for about 500 units it averaged around 2hrs 45 minutes
per unit. That was also 533MHz/133MHz, but only PC2100 RAM (i.e. 266MHz), 1
GByte. O/S WIN XP Pro. HTH. Generally, I've found that, for a given
processor, desktops tend to process a bit faster than laptops as well. I
reckon you should be getting under 2 1/2 hrs per unit, bearing in mind the
slightly faster RAM (assuming you haven't used it all up and so aren't using
any virtual memory, i.e. disk, for SETI processing). BOINC, I don't know -
I'm waiting until things seem to be running rather more smoothly.

HTH
