It takes me 3 hours 40 minutes on a P4 2.8 Ghz 533 FSB with DDR 333 Mhz
ram.  Is that what is expected from this setup?  I tried searching the
groups but didn't get any similar setups.

On my P4C 2.6gig, using hyperthreading, and 800mhz bus,
I do 2 units at once, and each runs just a few minutes over 4 hours.
