We do not accept spam in our newsgroup and spamming is against the rules
whether it be one post or one million. Crossposting is also against usenet
rules.

So your "generally accepted defination" is just that

Who made you the spokesperson for the 5 groups anyway?

If there was no breach why on earth would google go so far as to email me
and tell me the spammer was being banned? I`ve never had a reply like that
from any organisation before so they obviously thought it was serious enough
to warrant such action!

Which spamming group do you work for? Only a spammer would try to defend
another spammer! Can you imagine what it would be like if no one reported
this?

Have you read the newsgroup charters for the 5 groups involved?
