There seems to be general unrest, and understandably so, here in the
SETI@home message boards regarding BOINC.

Yes, the new SETI@home/BOINC project is down, and it'll probably be down
until tomorrow afternoon. We found a bug that requires long SQL
queries/updates carefully synchronized with moving files around from one
storage device to another. All we can do is wait, basically. Despite
this, and all the other minor mishaps, BOINC is progressing MUCH better
than SETI@home I did in its early days. It took about 3 years after its
launch for SETI@home to work as well as it does now. Remember that
BOINC's barely been live for a few months.
