fastest SAH WU completion times come with using the SAH *nix CLI
running in WINE over Windows. I've never verified this personally.
True.
s@h compiled the Windows CLI client with better compiler optimisations
than for Linux. I was running the Windows CLI on Wine on Linux along
with SetiSpy and SetiQueue. All worked fine.
(Also, gcc for linux is written more for cross-platform versatility
rather than single platform speed as with ICC for Windows. However, the
latest gcc has some very good optimisation flags that has closed the
performance gap to 'negligible'.)

installed base M$ enjoys, including the server market. The script kiddies
are gonna' go for the easiest, most prevalent targets to hit.
They certainly have a very large and ridiculously easy target to hit
with Windows!
Guess that goes w/the territory, when you have the majority market
share: Most everyone codes to you first, including peeps coding malware!
Not quite. That is a very good myth perpetrated to 'excuse' Microsoft
from blame. Unix/linux runs most of the internet and the internet is
very resilient. Microsoft have skewed and badly compromised the design
of Windows for 'Marketing Reasons'. We all pay with the additional costs
and lowered expectations that has caused.
So much for my opinions!
