It seems we are getting there. Let us hope the DB does not croke under
the stress :)

Ditto for the users. ;-)
I would like to suggest to Berekely that we users do NOT get all the
workunits our cache asks for, for awhile. Maybe only give a day or
two's worth so there are some for all. During the last outage and
return to service, before the current one, I got over a hundred units
for my 7 machines that lasted each for 3 to 4 days for EACH machine.
Some people didn't get ANY units for awhile and now it seems like the
same thing is happening. Maybe Berkeley could do a temporary manual
override of the cache and only give say 5 units per machine initialy
and then only give you one when you return one. BUT ONLY do this until
the system is up and running better than it currently is. It may stop
some of the complainers from being quite so vocerifious in their
complaints. Of course a not would have to be made on the web page
explaining why the manual override. I do realize that those that only
connect ocassionaly will be hurting, but EVERYONE would be crunching,
not just the ones that got lucky and got some units.
