I am also getting the "no work from project message" however, I do

I think they *seriously* underestimated the WU demand caused by every
user having a cache. The problem spirals because each time there is
an outage, folks set their cache higher to avoid running out... Not
to mention the dearth of other projects available.
SETI BOINC is cursed by the fact that most (all?) of it's
participants are the folks reading Slashdot, Usenet, message boards,
etc.. And hence are more willing to tweak and fiddle than the
'pretty screensaver' crowd.
D.
That is why I think they ought to limit the cache for now and limit
users to say 5 units and then you get one when you return one. The
only users suffering then would be the dial-up and once a week return
users.
Reasonable kludge maybe. However, I'm on dial-up and have a small farm. It
could seriously impact my contribution.
