The atheists have no reasonable answer for this recognized problem,

Recognized by whom? There is no problem for anyone who actually understands
the laws of thermodynamics. (C'mon, the campus God Squad was trying to
foist that one off on me 20 years ago in college. Is there anyone out there
ignorant and naiive enough to still believe that life contradicts the laws
of thermodynamics?)

but the theists among us don't see a problem at all. To anyone who
has accepted the existence of God, life's apparent violation of the
second "law" of thermodynamics causes no discomfort.

There is no "violation". The 2nd law applies to a *closed system* which our
planet is not -- we receive massive amounts of energy input every day from
the Sun. The Solar system is essentially a closed system, the 2nd law
applies, and eventually entropy will win. The Earth, OTOH, is not a closed
system and as long as it continues to receive energy from the Sun life
doesn't contradict any laws of thermodynamics at all...

The fact that evolution runs contrary to thermodynamics is an
inconvenient fact which the anti-God crowd would rather forget about
when they attempt to use evolution as a denial of God.

Sorry, wrong answer. Thanks for playing, but it's not a "fact" at all --
just a convenient and total misunderstanding of the laws of thermodynamics.

If there is a God, and if He has communicated with mankind, then
perhaps the bible and other holy books aren't something which should
be dismissed out of hand.

If there is a God, and S/He (FYI, I always thought the idea of gender for an
omniscient Deity was rather silly...) has communicated with mankind, then
perhaps the laws of physics and our ability to think rationally aren't
something which should be dismissed out of hand.

And if those ancient books are correct, ET doesn't exist.

Really? I find nothing in the Bible that rules ET out.

May you all achieve salvation,

You, too.
