In the more than 7 years he's the 1st one that's picked up a virus

The site gets 100-or more hits every day. he's the 1st complaint in
over 7 years.
I can sort of understand why he was concerned. Someone he doesn't know
posts a link to "more pix", presumably referring to pictures of the S@H
taskbar icon that they were asking about, but instead he sees pictures of
some women, with no explanation of what the site is about (at least, I
didn't see any), and no taskbar icons in sight.
Having said that, I looked around your site despite the warning posted
here - Using Netscape 7 with JavaScript turned off, I feel fairly safe from
the nasty things a Web site might contain - and I don't see any taskbar
icon pictures anywhere. For the record for anyone else that's interested,
I also didn't see any signs of anything nasty there, but then again, with
NS 7 and no JS, I might not.
Just out of curiousity, what is your site about? Who are those women?
Mate, I shut the IE window quick-smart when a bunch of pictures of
women started coming up on my screen and the Google toolbar stopped a
pop-up. My PC seems clean but the link certainly had nothing to do
with SETI. I'm not sure exactly what was on the site, I just went
"D'oh!" and clicked the little 'x'.
Now what does a gray seti icon mean and how many other colors can I
expect ?
Google toolbar ? I got news for you the google toolbar is probably the
source of your troubles on my site.
His machines clean because there wasn't anything to put a virus on his
machine. more pix @ http://members.toast.net/cbminfo/index.html
I do not know what the gray icon means. I assume this is the S@H program
itself, not some addon like SetiDriver, SetiQueue, etc. Which S@H program
are you running, the screensaver or the CLI (command line text only version
with no graphics)? The color of the icon may mean different things for
different versions. Is the icon in the main body of the taskbar or in the
system tray?
And if there are pictures of the taskbar icons on your site, where are
they? If there aren't, your "more pix" link is irrelevant and will only
cause confusion. At the very least, you should say what the site has "more
pix" of, so people don't go there looking for one thing and find another,
completely irrelevant, thing.
