O.K., it's an ambiguous subj line, but I couldn't resist. ;-)

Not sure if it's anything to do w/the Snap server, but I was just
multitasking away, and BAM, my local BOINC client d/l'd 20 WU's in
one quick shot!

FWIW

My stash is replenished too!
Whee, I can work for 7 days now without even worrying about it! ;)

Good thing, too!

The project is now down for the move of the DB and the upload directory to
the Snap Appliance. Along with the still running download move, this will be
a long process. We hope to be back up midday tomorrow.

Using terms like "long process" and "hope", I believe a prudent cruncher
would have to easily allow for a window 200-300% longer than stated. ;-)

Don't get me wrong; I know they're bustin' thier tails. But if you wanna'
keep your machines happily crunchin' away, ya' gotta' deal with guesstimates
conservatively, right???

That's why I haven't unloaded Setidriver etc yet :-)

My machines only got a few WUs each last time boinc was running, so
the main beastie is running sah1 already, and the mail server will
switch over if it isn't up again by about 8pm UK time.

Strange, when boinc came on line, I didn't think I'd get to 16,000
classic WUs, but I'm up to 16,135 and still crunchin'

All the best,

Alan Woodford
