Well not to reflogg a long dead horse, but that is why new projects are
supposed to be kept separate from existing functional ones, so they don't
interfere with ones that work.
I retired a few years ago after 33 years with the Canadian Federal
Government statistical agency. I wasn't an IT type, but worked closely with
them on many projects, so I have seen IT projects up close and personal. The
IT types I worked with were mostly too professional to allow the kind of
debacle currently gripping SAH.
That's why I am less than impressed with the idea of using "they're busy at
Berkeley" as an excuse for this summer's mess. They may be busy at Berkeley,
but they're also royally screwed up at Berkeley.
